Ashlyn was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and moved to the Fort Lauderdale area her sophomore year of high school, where she attended St. Thomas Aquinas. She grew up watching NFL on Sundays after church with her father and younger brother. Growing up, her love and passion for sports continued to grow as she traveled around the state playing softball for nine years of her life and earning two state titles in high school. She fell in love with the idea of sports broadcasting at a very young age, watching role models such as Erin Andrews and Samantha Ponder.

While attending the University of Florida, her father's Alma matter, Ashlyn became the Florida Gator Football beat reporter for WUFT News in Gainesville. During her time at UF she also covered the national championship Florida Gator softball and gymnastics team. In the summer of 2016, Ashlyn interned at ABC WPLG Local 10 Miami in their sports department. She served as a production assistant and reporter, where she interviewed Chicago Cubs head coach Joe Maddon and ESPN Gameday personality Lee Corso.

Ashlyn currently is preparing to graduate from the University of Florida in May of 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications with a focus on sports broadcasting and an outside concentration in sports management.

In her limited spare time as a college student, Ashlyn participates in Dance Marathon, the largest student-run philanthropy in the SEC that gives back to sick children with Children’s Miracle Hospital.
