The Gators are looking to bounce back with a win after a crushing defeat from the Tennessee Volunteers last weekend that left the Gators seeking answers to many questions as to why the team unraveled like it did in the second half of the game.

The football game this weekend scheduled in Gainesville between the Gators and the LSU Tigers was postponed today in a decision made jointly by LSU, the University of Florida and the SEC. Gator Athletic Director Jeremy Foley called a press conference immediately after the SEC made the decision to indefinitely postpone this weekend’s game between the Gators and the LSU Tigers to discuss the situation.

Florida football coach Jim McElwain put his team through a long practice on Wednesday getting his team ready for its game Saturday with the Missouri Tigers on Homecoming Weekend. The Tigers statistically are one of the best offenses in the SEC. McElwain says Homecoming Weekend in Gainesville is something special.
Florida Gators are Tampa Bound, Will Play in the Outback Bowl
The Florida Gators and Iowa Hawkeyes will face off in the Outback Bowl on January 2nd. The game will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. Both teams are 8 and 4 on the season; the Gators are ranked number 17 while the Hawkeyes are at 21. Gator coach Jim McElwain says his team is excited to head to Tampa to play in this bowl game.
